Weirdos might be difficult people to work with at times. I've been called a difficult woman more times than I care to recall.

But what is even more impressive than how difficult we can be are the superpowers we possess, which when harnessed are truly transformational for organisations, communities and causes.

So, Some advice for anyone wanting to work with us weirdos...

  • Identify the challenges of working with your weirdo.

  • Acknowledge them with compassion, understanding that I am acutely aware of and critical of my shortcomings

  • Value that these spikey bits are part of me, and to access the best bits of me you need to accommodate and work with me to mitigate the not so great bits

  • Embrace, value, nurture my weirdo qualities to transform your thinking

  • Remunerate me - and all of the other weirdo accordingly for access to our superpowers! Just because we are different doesn't mean we are not valuable...

Stay weird my weird people. Weirdness really is a quality to be valued.

The world will catch up 🦸🏼‍♀️🫶🏻
