Managing Director Casenio (UK) Ltd
April 2016 - present
Follwing a successful year acting as a consultant advisisng the German based business on UK Market Entry Strategy, I invested in Casenio and became Managing Director of their UK subsidiary. Casenio is a growth stage start-up business operating out of Berlin. The company operates in the healthcare tech market, and focusses on developing solutions for the elder care and AAL sector by utilising wireless sensor technology and the Internet of Things.

The Rural Business Awards were the brainchild of myself and my business partner Jemma Clifford and was concived while I was working for Jemma in creating a marketing stratagy for her business BeRural. We set up the business and delivered the first Award Cerermony at Stapleford Park in October 2015.
2016 sees us partner with the CLA to deliver our second and even bigger programme to reward rural businesses form many varying sectors who either operate from a rural base or deliver products or services to directly assist those livivng or working rurally. The 2016 ceremony will be held in October at the prestigious Belfry Hotel & Resort in Warwickshire.

I ran the business on behalf of the Practice Owner effectively fulfilling the role of MD. Full accountability for P&L and budget management. The private dental industry is a market which is consolidating and one in which only the most effectively managed and efficient practices will survive. Against this background in year one I achieved increases in both annual turnover (up by 18%) and profitability (up by 17%).

I sit on the management committee of the Leicestershire Portage Service. This is a service which has helped us as a family over the last three years. My second daughter Eloise was born in 2009. Eloise has Down Syndrome.
